Pressures of being a Adult.

I've just recently said goodbye to my 23 year and it gave me so much anxiety knowing that I'm now a 24 year old. It's nearly been a whole week since my birthday and I'm still in a state of shock. Its happened before I new it.  It only seems like yesterday that I was leaving school with everything in my arms from my locker and being determined to put the world to rights. Eight years on from that very day and it seems that I haven't got very far from that school girl.

Today's post is going to be about the Pressures that adulthood brings if your ready for it or not.

Being a young teenager leaving school I thought everything would fall into place. It never dawned on me that it doesn't happen like that and some take longer then others. But when your in school you aren't fully prepared for that. You actually aren't prepared for nothing outside of school. All that support you get is all of sudden vanished into thin air and your left to it. You go to college and other courses or straight to work and your expected to deal with everything life throws at you. I don't think I was ready for all that pressure. It's been a very up and down Eight years. It doesn't help with all the pressures surrounding being a "Adult" we aren't all them same so we aren't going to have the same life's. I find it very frustrating that people think because I'm the same age as someone else that I'm going to be exactly the same as them. It doesn't work like that. Different factors come into it. And age or different sex doesn't come into it. I guess I am quite different to a lot of people my age but it doesn't make me any less of a person. I admire people who have degrees and are settled into there dream Jobs. I'm not one of those people. And I don't think I ever will be. But that's ok because not everyone wants that.  The point of this post was to say that's its okay not to have your life figured out once you reach adulthood. No ones life is picture perfect. Don't let the pressures make you feel like your lesser of a person. Because you aren't. Everyone does life differently and that's just amazing. You will get there. life doesn't have a time control do things when you want to do it. Not when society says when you should achieve it by.

    1. Thank you Laura. It can be so hard watching everyone else and almost feels unfair. But it won't be like this forever. Thank you. Happy belated birhtday as well.
