Mental Health-Self Care.

MENTAL HEALTH- SELF CARE.

Today's post is something so Important.  Self care with Mental Health.

What is Self care.
Self care is basically were you take care of your own wellbeing and health. That includes physically  and mentally.   Self care doesn't always mean how you present yourself. It can be not taking medication to not eating and among other things. You are not taking care or the steps that you would usually do when your in a healthy mind.

This is something I really struggle with during my bad patches. It can be from eating all the foods that are pretty bad for me which in turn makes me feel even worse. To not wanting to do the everyday tasks that every human does. To me it's so draining to even think about doing it. I've since started to care a little more. Even if it's not a lot its a step in the right direction.

Self care is so Important to your wellbeing. I've had a lot of people say that to me. But never really took it on board just because not doing or thinking about it was easier. But when I took that step to start looking after myself  a little more it did make a little difference. I think it would be totally unfair to say it made so much difference to me because that would be me lying. But I think it depends on the person. Everyone is different. But either way SELF CARE is so important. Do the things you love. Treat yourself. Do things you might not even have the energy to do. I know when it comes to mental illness it seems that you've lost all interest in anything but pushing yourself a little to do something will make a difference. It can be something so small. And sometimes the littlest of things make me feel more better then the bigger things.

Here's a little list on how l like to self care.

Nail painting.
My nails are always done. It's something I've loved doing for a few years. But when I'm in my bad patches I don't bother and I don't care how they look. But recently I've started doing them again and it makes a difference. It makes me feel like me again.

Candles
lighting candles and sitting in the dark is something so soothing for me. Watching the flicker on the candle light is something that relaxes me. I know it's not doing something active but it makes me have a healthy mind which is self caring.

MAKEUP
I do this most days because it's a instant mood changer for me. Not only does it make feel better. It also makes me feel more put together. I also love the steps of putting makeup on. I love choosing what lipstick I'm going to wear also the eye look I'm going to create.

BATHS
Baths are so great and one of my favourite things to do when I want to do some self caring. Not only does it  make you clean but it's so relaxing to sit in a bath. Lighting some candles. Also choosing what bath bomb you want to use. I LOVE Lush's bath products they are amazing.

CHOCOLATE
This is usually my last one I go for. Chocolate is one of the best things around so having a bar or piece makes me feel a little bit better. The plain dairy milk is my favourite.

Self care is so important and we all should be doing it.

What's your favourite way to Self Care.
