Starting off/ Blusher

Heya lovelies. Today is week five of the #theSoproject and today's topic is blusher. As many of you know from my last so project post i'm not a blusher kind of girl. I don't know why i think its because i look stupid with color on my cheeks. I do own three blushes but they rarely get used. I would love to be confident enough to wear them because you can get such beautiful colors. Now lets get on too the blushes i actually  own. My first one is a MUA creme blush. It's in bittersweet. I can't really describe the color so i'm just going to say its pink. It creates a soft dewy finish. I've worn it around 3 times.

My second blush is a ELF one and its a soft baby pink color and its name is SHY It has a little shimmer. I often use it has a highlighter.
My final blusher is a Maybelline one and it's in a pinky color with a orange tone to it. Unfortunately it doesn't have a name. I've used this once.
I don't have a favorite blush because i don't use it alot. Blush is used to give some color to your cheeks. It should look as natural as possible. There are five different kind of blushes you can get.

Powder blush
Powder blush is a great for all skin types but its best for people who have oily skin. And anyone who is looking for a long lasting color.
Creme blush
Its best applied with fingers. Any skin type can use it but it's best with people with dry skin because of how moisturizing it is.
Gel blush
They provide a sheer glow and there best suitable for oily to normal skin.
Tint blush
Its fast drying so as soon as it's on the skin you have to work fast to get it all in place. You need to blend it all in well. Once its set it won't move. It's suitable for all skin types.
Shimmers
They are brilliant for giving you a light gleam on your cheek bones. But you can also use on other parts of your face such as. Forehead, The bow of your upper lip and the inner corners of your eyes Best used at nigh-time to give you the glow on the dance floor. It can also be used in the day.

So thats the end of this weeks topic. Leave me any questions in the comments. Don't forget to check back next Tuesday at 6.

  3. Good luck with the hunt to find your perfect blush! I agree with Stacey, once you find the right one, your anti-blush days will be over. M.A.C.'s blushes have made be swoon, that may be a place to start!

  4. Try a sleek one, I am not much of a blusher girl either (only when I am going out on a night out/special occasion) The sleek ones are so pretty & a decent price too.
